nursery fees

We are completely transparent about our fees and on this page you will find all details of all of our costs with no hidden fees.  

 

Waterproof Fee

To enrol your child at our Pre-School we ask for an up front charge of £100.  Included in this price is a brand new high quality and durable waterproof outerwear.  You will receive this along with your new starter information prior to your child starting with us.

 

Little Foxes Stoke Park 

Hourly Rates

Please see the below table for the full price hourly rates for our Mini and Little Foxes groups. This rate include all meals including additional snacks, trips and enrichment activities.  Find out more about our food here.  You can sign up for two, three or four days.

Payment of Consumables Charge items (only payable alongside government funded hours)

 The majority of our day is spent in the local woodland, and our wraparound care is based at our beautiful newly refurbished classrooms and garden at our Little Foxes HQ nearby.  You can use your government funded hours towards any of the hours we are open. Our chargeable items on top of this include: our delicious, fresh homemade meals, and the full range of snacks, drinks on offer.  It includes our daily extended trips to the woodland, as well as all the additional enrichment activities and trips we offer every year (including regular trips to the beach, a local farm etc). It includes our non food consumables such a hygiene materials, woodwork, tools and fire resources, as well as all the parties we put on for your children. Westbury Little Foxes

Our Westbury setting offers 26 hours a week at Little Foxes Monday to Thursday 8am - 2:30pm.  From April 2026 the full price hourly rate is £11 per hour meaning our daily 6.5 hour sessions costs £71.50. This includes breakfast, all snacks, drinks, lunch and a range of enrichment activities and trips.  We also accept government funding, and payments from the tax free childcare account. 

If you use your government funded hours for your place, there is an hourly food and consumables charge of £3.30 which works out as £21.45 per day.

HELP WITH FEES​

If you live in England you can get:

● 15 hours a week if your child is 3 to 4 years old

If you are working you can get:


● 30 hours a week if your child is 9 months to 4 years old

3 year olds

Universal government funded childcare is for three, four and five year olds. This is 15 hours a week based on a term-time year (38 weeks). The funding comes into effect from the term after your child’s third birthday and runs until they reach compulsory school age.

The funding can also be split with other settings, provided that the other setting is happy with the arrangement. 

Eligible 2 year olds

 

You may be able to claim for 15 funded hours from the government if you are in receipt of any of the following benefits:

● Income Support

● Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)

● Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

● Universal Credit, and your household income is £15,400 a year or less after tax, not including benefit payments

● the guaranteed element of Pension Credit

● Child Tax Credit, Working Tax Credit (or both), and your household income is £16,190 a year or less before tax

● The Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)

In this instance you need to apply through the local authority. If you do qualify, please contact finance@littlefoxesforest.co.uk to let us know as you will be entitled to a further reduction in fees. Here is the link to Bristol's eligibility checker:

Please note that there is a compulsory consumables charge to be paid in addition to using these funded hours, to cover all food, drinks, trips and enrichment for your child's time at Little Foxes.​  Details of the charges are listed above.

Working parents of two, three, four and five year old children can apply for an additional 15 hours per week during term time, making a total of 30 hours. To check if you are eligible for the government free hours you can click on this link and follow the steps

Apply for 30 hours funding for three year olds

Working parents of two year olds can currently claim a total of 15 hours per week, increasing to 30 hours in September 2025. 

Apply for two year old working parent funding

If you are eligible for either of these of hours you will have to sign up online via the links provided. You will get a code, which you will share with us as your registered childcare provider. We will send you out a form from a company called funding loop to gather this information from you.  We then apply for the funding on your behalf and reduce your bill accordingly.​​

Tax Free Child Care

Little Foxes Forest School is registered to receive Child Tax Free Childcare as payment for your nursery fees.

If you are entitled to Tax-Free Childcare, you’ll set up an online childcare account for your child. For every £8 you pay into this account, the government will pay in £2 to use to pay your provider.

You can get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as the 15 and 30 hours free childcare if you’re eligible for both.

You can get up to £500 every 3 months (up to £2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare.

 

This goes up to £1,000 every 3 months if a child is disabled (up to £4,000 a year).

UNIVERSAL CREDIT

If you pay for childcare while you go to work, Universal Credit can pay some of your childcare costs. You can get up to 85% of childcare costs paid back to you.

The Maximum amount a month is:

● £1,014.63 for one child
● £1,739.37 for two or more children

To support the payment of chargeable items and private hours, working parents can use their Tax Free Childcare Allowance. Click here for more details on how to claim Tax Free Childcare giving up to 20% government support for all childcare costs. For families claiming Universal Credit who also work, there is up to 85% government support for all childcare costs, and you can claim in advance!

early year pupil premium (EYPP)

What is EYPP? This is in place to improve outcomes for children from socio-economically disadvantaged background starting from 9 months to 4 years old. From April 2025 the Department for Education (DfE) increased EYPP funding so that a setting receive £570 a year per child.

Parents can apply for early years pupil premium if their child is aged 9 months to 4 years old and get any of the following:

· 30 hours of Free Childcare for Working Parents

· 15 hours of free childcare for 2 year olds if you get extra support

· 15 hours of free childcare for all 3 and 4 year olds

 

You must also get at least one of the following:

· Income Support

· income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance

· income-related Employment and Support Allowance

· support under part six of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

· the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit

· Universal Credit - your household income must be less than £7,400 a year after tax, not including any benefits you get.

 

You may also get early years pupil premium if your child is currently being looked after by a local authority in England or Wales or if your child has left care in England or Wales through:

· adoption

· special guardianship order

· a child arrangements order

If you are enrolled with us and claiming any government funded hours, we'll run a check to see if you are eligible for pupil premium. If so we will let you know so we can work together with families to allocate funding in the best interests of your child.

LITTLE FOXES STOKE PARK, BRISTOL

 

Drop off and pick up for core hours for our Little and Mini Foxes is in Stoke Park Estate near the Lockleaze Youth and Playspace BS7 9TD. We meet at the entrance to the meadow in Stoke Park Estate.  If driving, it's best to park outside the Lockleaze Youth and Playspace, BS7 9TD and then walk along the footpath that has two boulders at it's entrance.  Please can we remind everyone to park considerately of our neighbours, ensuring all driveways are kept clear. About 50m along the footpath the entrance to the meadow is on your right.

Tea club pick up and breakfast club drop off is at our HQ at The Lockleaze Youth and Playspace in BS7.

LITTLE FOXES WESTBURY, BRISTOL

 

Drop off and pick up for core hours for our Little Foxes is in Westbury Wildlife park is Trym Rd, Bristol BS9 3ET. If you head to the top of Trym Rd you'll see the entrance to the Park signposted.  

Using alternative transport to driving is encouraged. There is a car park but that is reserved for Staff Volunteers, Disabled Users, River of life on Sundays & WOT-POTS.

There is parking in the Village behind CO-OP and W-O-T Primary care centre please use these facilities if you need to drive. Please be courteous to the residents along Trym Road and Pinewood close and use the car parks in the Village.
