Where nurture meets nature

welcome to little foxes forest school

We are an outdoor nursery that caters for children aged 2.5 - 4 years old.  We believe in the strength of nature for turning children into creative and resilient learners. Our nursery is situated in a beautiful forest setting just 10 minutes drive from central Bristol in the Stoke Park Estate.  Founded and run by primary school teachers with over 30 years combined experience, our team has seen first hand the benefits that children gain from playing and learning outdoors.  We are on a mission to offer children the opportunity to play and learn in a natural environment.  Our magnificent setting encourages children to become decision makers, explorers, foragers, chefs, climbers and so much more.

It’s incredible! The teachers are engaging and the environment allows children to learn in a safe and stimulating outdoor situation. I cannot recommend it enough

Little Foxes has given our daughter a love and appreciation of nature. I highly recommend Little Foxes to everyone! It has been one of the best decisions we have made for our daughter

Every aspect of it is 5 star. From the key workers’ energy and enthusiasm, the organisation of everything, the communication, the food. It’s just wonderful

It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest.  It is the greatest source of so much that makes life worth living.

our location

Drop off for Little and Mini Foxes is at the entrance to Stoke Park Estate near the Lockleaze Youth and Playspace BS7 9TB. We meet at the entrance to the meadow in Stoke Park Estate.  If driving, it's best to park outside the Lockleaze Youth and Playspace, BS7 9TB and then walk along the footpath that has two boulders at it's entrance.  About 50m along the footpath the entrance to the meadow is on your right.

Shortly after drop off we'll set off on the short walk through the stunning Stoke Park Estate, to set up our camp for the day.  This magical forest area is surrounded by bluebells, wild garlic, wildlife, meadows and trees aplenty.   Interested to visit the site?

Pick up and breakfast club drop off is at Stoke Park Primary School (Romney Avenue entrance) in BS7 9TG, just 4 minutes drive from Bishopston and 10 minutes from Bristol City Centre.  There is parking on Romney Avenue near our entrance gate.
