monday Playgroup

Attending Little Foxes playgroup has improved Scarlett's imaginative play, confidence, learning capacity, enthusiasm, self-belief , communication and problem-solving skills.  I cannot recommend it highly enough!

monday Playgroup

We are hoping to restart our Monday Stay and Play group back up in September 2021, guidelines permitting.  When we do restart you'll find details below of what it entails. Our sessions take place at:

9:15am-10:30am and

10:45am to 12pm

We accept termly bookings only and the cost is £42.50 for the 5 week term for one family/ childminder/ nanny with up to 3 children.  Our sessions involve a range of exciting forest activities for your children to get involved with. We always cook around the fire with treats range from marshmallows to pasta and homemade bread.  Children will have the opportunity to:

  • Play in the mud kitchen

  • Do natural painting

  • Play with our small world toys and in the natural construction area

  • Go bug hunting

  • Relax in a hammock

  • Enjoy reading in a sheltered reading area.

We also run an adult led activity in addition to these each week which can be anything from woodwork, bird watching, Gruffalo hunting and so much more.  Hot drinks are available for adults and children throughout the morning.  At the end of the session parents, carers and children all get together for singing and sometimes parachute games.  We hope you can join us in Stoke Park Estate soon for some woodland fun.  Add yourself onto the mailing list by popping us an email with your child's name and your contact details.

Monday playgroup costs £42.50 per 5 week term and can be booked on a termly basis.

what to wear

This is a fairly open area of forest so if it's raining full wet weather gear and wellies is advised.  In the summer it can also be useful to come in full length trousers to avoid midgy bites and scratches.

There's treats for parents as well as children at our playgroup.  Hot chocolate, tea and coffee is available.  Children always enjoy a snack cooked on the fire.

our location

Drop off for Little and Mini Foxes is at the entrance to Stoke Park Estate near the Lockleaze Youth and Playspace BS7 9TB. We meet at the entrance to the meadow in Stoke Park Estate.  If driving, it's best to park outside the Lockleaze Youth and Playspace, BS7 9TB and then walk along the footpath that has two boulders at it's entrance.  About 50m along the footpath the entrance to the meadow is on your right.

Shortly after drop off we'll set off on the short walk through the stunning Stoke Park Estate, to set up our camp for the day.  This magical forest area is surrounded by bluebells, wild garlic, wildlife, meadows and trees aplenty.   Interested to visit the site?

Pick up and breakfast club drop off is at Stoke Park Primary School (Romney Avenue entrance) in BS7 9TG, just 4 minutes drive from Bishopston and 10 minutes from Bristol City Centre.  There is parking on Romney Avenue near our entrance gate.

Find out more about our Open Days or Contact Us.

Please note our playgroup and holiday camp take place at a different site.  Check emails for details.
